Echuca man crashes into tree near Tocumwal

A 75 year-old Echuca man crashed his car into a tree near Tocumwal on Friday.

A 75 year-old Echuca man has been discharged from hospital in Shepparton after crashing his car into a tree near Tocumwal on Friday.
Deniliquin police senior constable Ross Currie said the man was driving west on Lower River Rd, 20km west of Tocumwal, at 2.30pm when he lost control.
Const Currie said after negotiating a left hand bend, the man’s car drifted to the left hand side of the road.
The car collided head-on with a gum tree, causing extensive damage, Const Currie said.
He was taken to GV Health in Shepparton with soreness in his neck and chest.
