Campbell, Woolman take out Sportstar awards
Footballer Guy Campbell and waterskier Lloyd Woolman claimed the senior and junior awards respectively at the Sportstar of the Year awards night at Moama Bowling Club last night.

Rochester footballer Guy Campbell and Echuca waterskier Lloyd Woolman won the senior and junior awards, respectively.
Guy’s achievements included captaining Vic Country against a Victorian Amateur Football Association representative team, winning ‘country footballer of the year’ by TV show Off The Bench out of 14,500 players and winning the Goulburn Valley Football League’s best and fairest award, the Morrison medal.
Lloyd’s year was highlighted by a superb performance at the Water Ski Racing World Championships, claiming a silver medal with the Australian under 16 team while skiing behind Thundernuts.
The sold out crowd was also treated to an inspirational address by guest speaker Nicole Livingstone, who spoke about her extensive career in the pool and media.
Lockington-Bamawm United Football Club had a clean sweep of the other awards on the night. The senior squad won Team of the Year, Kahl Oliver was named coach of the year and club stalwart Bernie McManus won the Spirit of Sport award.
