Echuca students created another chapter in the never-ending story of literature in schools across the city on Friday.

As part of National Book Week, students from Echuca East and St Mary’s primary schools celebrated the annual event with a book parade on Friday.

At Echuca East students voted on book-of-the-year titles for their most popular books.

Students also dressed up as their favourite book character, having spent the week reading at school and at home and completing literature activities.

At St Mary’s, characters from Frozen were popular, along with pirates and mermaids, inspired by the school’s coming production Treasures of the Sea.
