Anzac Day services around the region

Here's a run down of the various dawn services and marches that are planned for Friday.

A range of Anzac Day services will be held on Friday

Anzac day services will be held around on the district on Friday.
■ Echuca RSL: Dawn service at the Echuca war memorial. Gather at 5.45am for a 6am start. The march will start at 11am at the Hare St pedestrian crossing and proceed to the Echuca war memorial, followed by the Anzac service.
■ Moama RSL: Dawn service at the Moama war memorial (beside shire offices) at 6am, followed by a free gunfire breakfast at the Moama RSL from 6.30am to 7am. The Anzac service will be at the Moama war memorial at 9am. Following this will be Anzac Day activities at the Moama RSL Club, including digger style lunches, two-up in the Anzac Terrace and the AFL Anzac Day game on television.
■ Mathoura RSL: Dawn service at 6am in the soldier’s memorial gardens, followed by breakfast. The commemorative service starts at 11am in the shire hall, followed by the march to the soldier’s memorial gardens to hold the wreath-laying ceremony.
■ Tongala RSL: Dawn service starts at 6.30am in the Tongala hall, followed by breakfast cooked by the Tongala Lions Club. The muster for the march will be at 9.30am at the hall and, at 10am, the march starts to the Tongala public hall for the commemorative service at 10.15am. Father John Tinkler is guest speaker and Riverview Choir will perform. At 11.15am, the march will return to the hall for the floral tributes and the unveiling of a new plaque commemorating the service of Roy Vistarini to Tongala RSL and Tongala Bush Nursing Clinic. Lunch will be served in the hall following the conclusion of the unveiling.
■ Lockington: The commemoration march and memorial service will start at 8.45am and will proceed to the community hall for the memorial service at 9am.
■ Cohuna: Dawn service at Cohuna cenotaph. Gather at 5.45am for a 6am start. The march to the cenotaph starts at 9.30am before a service at 9.40am. There will also be a service at 10am at the memorial hall.
■ Rochester: The dawn service will be at Rochester cemetery at 5.45am for a 6am start and will conclude at 6.30am. After the dawn service a gunfire breakfast will be held at Rochester Lions Park from 7am to 8am. Everyone is welcome to attend for a gold coin donation. The march and memorial service will assemble outside the Rochester shire hall at 10.30am and begin at 11am. Descendants are asked to wear medals on their right breast.
