Multiple sources have told the Riv that councillor Geoff Mackenzie made it clear he would be against including a female candidate in the interview process.

The comment was reportedly made in a council workshop on November 1, hosted by Blackadder Associates - a Sydney-based consulting firm.

The workshop covered the recruitment timetable and process for interviewing.

Yesterday, Cr Mackenzie said he "absolutely denied" the gender discrimination allegations.
