Alcohol stolen from Echuca businesses

Police are investigating the theft of alcohol from two different liquor stores in Echuca on the weekend.

Four bottles of whiskey were stolen from Dan Murphy’s on Saturday.

Three women entered the store around 6pm Saturday, taking two bottles of Chivers Regal and two bottles of Johnny Walker, worth $170.

When the women left the store it activated the alarm but the offenders escaped.

Staff reviewed the security footage and turned it over to police.

A 10-pack of Jim Beam and a slab of Jim Beam, worth $130 were taken from Liquorland, Echuca, about 6.50pm Saturday.

Three men entered the store and, while staff were distracted, left with the alcohol.

Police are looking into the theft, with the help of security footage.
