Western Bulldogs visit Deniliquin

Football fans had the chance to meet their Western Bulldogs AFL idols at footy clinics in Deniliquin on Monday.

By Tyla Harrington

Corey Johnston is a passionate Western Bulldogs fan, so meeting some of his AFL idols on Monday in Deniliquin was a dream come true.

The seven year-old has been to several AFL matches with his father and has owned a Bulldogs jumper for three years.

But meeting some players was a first for the Mathoura Public student, who was the only youngster from his school to travel to Deni for the Bulldogs’ visit.

Josh Prudden (pictured), who was taken with pick 50 in the 2012 AFL National Draft, was one of eight Bulldogs conducting footy drills at the Deniliquin Rams oval yesterday morning.

Following some lunch and questions from the students, the Bulldogs were off to the high school yesterday afternoon for some more clinics.
