Scorching heat sees Deniliquin cricket games called off

Officials have called off all cricket games predicted to be held tomorrow because of expected searing temperatures.

Deniliquin District Cricket Association and Rhinos cricket games have been called off as a result of the heat predicted for tomorrow.

Cricket officials made the decision this afternoon not to chance the predicted 43°C in Deniliquin and across the region.

RSL Cannons were expected to take on Juniors, while the RSL Diggers would have taken on Hay. They were both set to play in Deniliquin.

Murray Valley Cricket Association’s Rhinos would have gone into day two of a two-day match against Barooga, at Barooga.
