Australia’s favourite librarian is being sought, and local library staff hope readers may find that special person in Deniliquin.
The competition follows on from the National Year of Reading last year, when library staff all around the country helped people discover and rediscover the joy of reading.
At Central Murray Regional Library in Napier St, there are plenty of staff worthy of recognition.
Whether it is your favourite storyteller or that person who helped you find exactly what you were looking for.
All you have to do to nominate is visit www.alia.org.au and describe why you think your favourite librarian should win the title, using 100 words or less. Librarians from TAFE or schools can also be nominated. Nominations close March 15 and voting closes on April 15. The winner will be announced during Library Week.
