No Lockdown offences

Police conducted Operation Lockdown in the Deniliquin central business district between 1pm and 2pm on Wednesday.

Police conducted Operation Lockdown in the Deniliquin central business district between 1pm and 2pm on Wednesday.

Officers inspected licensed premises and other businesses, spoke to a number of people and conducted random breath tests. No offences were found.

A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked in Noyes St, Deniliquin between 9pm Tuesday and 7.50am Wednesday.

The vehicle was locked and parked in a carport. The seal of the driver’s door was damaged when the door was forced open.

A 29 year-old Echuca man was charged with special range drink driving after being pulled over in Davidson St, Deniliquin about 10.10pm Tuesday.

The man allegedly returned a breath test of 0.038, however checks allegedly revealed that he does not have a driver’s licence in any state.

He was charged with drink driving and unlicensed driving

A 26 year-old Deniliquin man was fined for riding his bicycle without a helmet in Victoria St about 10.30am Tuesday. He was also warned about not having a bell or reflectors.
