By Zoe McMaughDeniliquin Show pavilion entry time is getting close and schedules are now available.
Entry forms and conditions are included in the pink coloured booklets, which have been placed in several local businesses.
Pavilion committee member Ann Middleton said all skills and ages are catered for.
‘‘Whether your ability lies in the garden, kitchen or shed, there is a category to suit,’’ she said.
‘‘Artistic talents will be very well catered for.
‘‘As in past years there will be excellent displays of photography, fine arts, woolcraft, needlework, patchwork and quilting.’’
Mrs Middleton said there were many new categories and a few ‘‘revamped’’ favourites, including jams and sauces.
‘‘Such a good season for fruit and vegetables should be perfect for good jams and sauces, and also excellent for farm and garden produce.
‘One person’s work’, ‘three articles on handcraft’ and ‘crazy patchwork’ are new categories.’’
Entry sections have different deadlines, so those entering are asked to carefully check the schedule, Mrs Middleton said.
All entries will be displayed in the pavilion during the two days of the show - March 2 and 3 - with all winners clearly marked.
‘‘The stewards of each section look forward to many entries, and as always display each with great care,’’ Mrs Middleton said.
‘‘Every entry helps make a great display to showcase the work of the many talented people in our town and district.’’
Schedules are available at Deniliquin Newsagency and Bookstore, My Shop, Heritage Fabrics, Deniliquin Showcase Jewellers, Fleming Partners and Peppin Heritage Centre.
