Deniliquin Community Mental Health held their open day last week.By Cass Savellis
Everyone who perused the Deniliquin Community Mental Health Drug & Alcohol Team open day on Thursday last week left with a wealth of new information, according to team manager Kerrie Good.
The open day, held at the Cressy St clinic, offered locals a chance to meet the team and learn more about the services available to them.
There were 72 people who attended, including health providers and community members.
Ms Good said the feedback was very positive.
‘‘It was a great success and allowed people to find out more about our services,’’ she said.
‘‘Guests said they would use our services in the future if needed and would happily recommend us to others.
‘‘The most successful room was the man cave I think .
‘‘We’re really grateful to the community for their support and thank all of the volunteers who helped on the day and the Ute Muster for donating a ticket as the lucky door prize (won by Janine Smith).
‘‘It was very positive and the team had a wonderful time. We will definitely think about doing it again.’’
