Get into slot car racing
Teams are being sought for a new Wired Entertainment slot car competition in Deniliquin.
Slot car racing has grown in popularity in Deniliquin, and now Wired Entertainment is looking for members to start a slot car racing competition.
The store will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, March 26 from 7pm, which acts as a ‘come and try’ night.
Anyone interested in joining a team for the proposed competition is encouraged to attend.
‘‘We just want to gauge interest, and we’ll go from there,’’ Wired sales and marketing manager Gary Parsons said.
‘‘We thought it would be good to hold a free come and try day, so people can test it out.’’
If there are enough people on board with the idea, Mr Parsons said further plans will be made to organise a permanent slot car group through the store.
‘‘There are already a couple of people who use the track on Tuesday nights,’’ Wired staff member Mark Plant said.
‘‘But we are hoping to get more use out of it, and start teams so we can run competitions.’’
