Five new teachers at Deniliquin South School

Students at Deniliquin South Public School welcomed five new teachers when classes returned earlier this month.

Students at Deniliquin South Public School welcomed five new teachers when classes returned earlier this month.

Liz Dudley, Shae Fitzpatrick, Courtney Barnett, Haylee Chadderton and Elbie van Dyk have all joined the South School staff for 2012.

Mrs Chadderton, who has been teaching on a casual basis for around four years, will take charge of Kinder Wild.

The local teacher grew up in Deniliquin, attending Edward Public School and Deniliquin High School.

Mrs van Dyk teaches 2/3 Lyon.

She moved to Australia from South Africa when her husband was appointed manager at Deniliquin Rice Mill.

Mrs van Dyk is an experienced teacher who taught in all Deniliquin schools last year on a casual basis.

Teaching class 2 Baker is Mrs Dudley.

Mrs Dudley is a former executive teacher in the non-government system and has also worked in early childhood intervention with Intereach.

Mrs Barnett is a first year teacher from the Central Coast. She is employed as a drama teacher and will be working with all classes.

Mrs Fitzpatrick is a school learning support officer and works with teachers in junior classes assisting with implementation of special speech and language development programs.

She is also a volunteer parent helper within the school.
