Deniliquin North School students have excelled in state wide maths, English, science and writing competitions

Deniliquin North Public School students have again excelled in several University of NSW Competitions.

Pupils in Years 3 to 6 took part in the maths, English, science and writing contests, resulting in eight distinctions and one high distinction.

Emma McCallum achieved a high distinction in writing and a distinction in English.

The following students also received distinctions: Ben North - science, English; Zoe Metcalfe - science; Rosie North - writing, English; Catriona Vickery - writing; Lucy Metcalfe - writing; Isabel Osborne - English, writing; and Tallulah McKenzie - writing.

Principal Chris Hogan said it was an ‘‘excellent result’’, with a record number of distinctions and credits.
