Treat your dad to a day out at the Pretty Pine Father’s Day Expo & Market on Sunday, September 1 at the Pretty Pine Recreation Reserve.
The jam-packed day runs from 10am to 4pm, with Conargo Shire Mayor Norm Brennan officially opening the fair at 11am.
Committee member Ian Turner said this annual family day out has something for everyone, with a variety of stalls and displays, airshows and a number of talented locals providing entertainment throughout the day.
‘‘The RAAF roulette will begin at noon and there will be four Russian Yak aeroplanes from Echuca and Tyabb, Victoria performing at 2pm,’’ he said.
‘‘Ron McKenzie, fresh back from the world paragliding championships in Turkey, will be dropping in, Richard Prentice will be on site with his Clydesdales, and Neville Wright the farrier will be doing some blacksmithing.
‘‘Bernard Clancy will be bringing his horse drawn merry-go-round as well.
‘‘We’ve got a dog jump with $200 for first prize, followed by Jack Russell dog races — so bring your dogs along for a great day out.’’
There’s also children’s races and a jumping castle for the kids, a spinning wheel and local quiz competition.
A major raffle will be drawn at 3pm with some great prizes to be won – a Typhoon Tool Chest valued at over $1500, a 50-inch LG plasma television valued at $949 and a Waeco Cool 45L Ice-Box and dressed lamb valued at over $450.
Entry to the day is $3 and children are no cost.
