Brian wins big at Deniliquin Fishing Classic
Deniliquin’s Brian Crossley and visiting junior angler Shaun Auld were the bigger winners of the 15th annual Deniliquin RSL Club Fishing Classic at the weekend. Each went home with a brand new boat after claiming the adult and junior major prize respectively.

Each went home with a brand new boat after claiming the adult and junior major prize respectively.
Mr Crossley won a 4.2m Quintrex Explorer Trophy worth $15,000.
It came with a 30 horsepower Yamaha motor, and as a bonus the boat package also included a water snake with an electric motor.
Shaun, who is from near Albury, took home a 3.6m punt with a five horsepower 4-stroke motor worth $4000.

Champion angler - Lindsay Jefferies (740mm Murray Cod).
Longest Murray Cod - Leanne Wright (650mm).
Longest Golden Perch - Rhys Westcott and Andrew Gavel (430mm), male section; Sara Beer and Denise Heenan (450mm), female section.
Longest Carp - Greg Gardiner (710mm); Danae Anderson (670mm).
Most Carp - Michael Gleeson (63); Teagan Blake (33).
Junior section:
Longest Murray Cod - Mick Barnett (660mm).
Longest Golden Perch - Ryan Barnes (445mm); Bianca Beer (465mm).
Longest Carp - Damien Fullerton (700mm); Sophie Collicoat (540mm).
Most Carp - Jake Loader (48); Sarah Van Steven (77).
