Bombers fly in to Deniliquin to fight fires
Pilots from all over the region have been flying out of Deniliquin, fighting the Moonbria Rd fire near Jerilderie.

Both were firebombing this week, bringing the Moonbria fire under control.
From Finley and Moree respectively, both praised the efforts of local firefighters in working quickly to try and prevent the spread of the blaze.
When speaking to the Pastoral Times on Wednesday, Mr Sutherland said the pilots would be helping to ‘‘mop up’’ the last of the fire.
Both the men said the fire was ‘‘well under control’’ when they returned to Deniliquin on Wednesday, but said the firefighters ‘‘won’t take anything for granted’’.
The pilots were joined by Field Air pilot Russell Jordan and R&M Aircraft pilot Peter Jones.
They also made special mention of Harley Dohnt, Greg White and Andrew Mackay, who were responsible for re-fuelling the planes, and Field Air manager Paul Thomas.
