Covering the Goulburn and Murray valleys

Farm trees workshop

The Mitchell and Surrounds Equine Landcare Group is holding another workshop for people interested in improving their properties.

June 4, 2014 3:10am

The workshop on indigenous trees and shrubs will be held on Sunday, June 15 from 1pm to 4pm at the Valley of 1000 Hills Farm Nursery, Reid Rd, Reedy Creek, with David Laurie.

Mr Laurie is a botanist and nursery owner who has been involved in Landcare for many years including work as a Landcare facilitator.

Mr Laurie can advise on specific plants for your property’s needs including shelter belts, wildlife and waterway protection.

He can also advise on trees local to your area and specific to sites on your property.

Trees and shrubs provide many benefits to properties and the selection and establishment of the right trees in the right place will mean they flourish.

The workshop is free to members of the group or other Landcare group members.

A membership to MSELG is $25 on the day.

Bookings are essential. To RSVP and for more information phone Chris Barbuto on 0429964059 by Wednesday, June 11.
