D&M Bowden Constructions was announced the winner at an awards night in Albury on Friday.
It also won the award for custom-built home of the year for north-east Victoria and custom-built home in its price category.
Darrell Bowden said the awards were a great honour from Australia’s national housing body.
He said clients Jeff and Janet Thynne designed the interior of the home at 55 Ngawe Rd, Barooga.
‘‘I expected we’d do well in our category but then to win the overall custom home of the year out of all categories .
