Teams are ready for Relay for Life
More than 350 people and 23 teams will relay for 24 hours this weekend in a show of support for people fighting cancer and cancer research.

The third Cobram-Barooga Relay for Life, at Cobram Showground on Saturday and Sunday, aims to add to a running total of money raised for cancer research and support through Cancer Council Victoria.
About $250
Relay for Life is an overnight community event during which teams participate in a relay-style walk or run. The event is part of a national campaign.
Cobram-Barooga chair manager Kate Horner said 16 survivors and 73 carers would be the ‘‘guests of honour’’.
She said a candlelight ceremony starting about 8.30
‘‘The community are really supportive (of relay) and have been supportive every year — they continue to surprise me, especially with the amount of money we’ve raised,’’ she said.
The relay starts at noon on Saturday and ends at noon on Sunday.
A range of entertainment and food stalls will be available.
