Cobram-Barooga event receives boost from Classic Rock
Classic Rock has been announced as a major sponsor of Cobram-Barooga Relay For Life.
The radio station will feature about 70 advertistments on its frequencies in the lead-up to this year’s event at Cobram Showgrounds on March 31 and April 1.
Relay For Life committee members said they were very grateful for the support from Classic Rock.
Publicity officer Jess Craig said the advertising would help to reach wider audiences.
‘‘We want to see as many teams as possible attend the event,’’ she said.
‘‘There will be plenty of activities throughout the 24-hour relay, including a special luncheon for survivors and carers.
‘‘Last year we raised more than $130
Station manager Gino Ciarlo said 1521 2QN/102.5FM/88.5FM were happy to support Cobram-Barooga Relay For Life.
‘‘It’s a great cause and we’re proud to be part of it,’’ he said.
