CVGT Australia will use a successful program used in Cobram to expand its Disability Employment Service offerings.
The company will provide DES to more people and will share its successful job-finding strategies for people with a disability across Victoria following a major tender win.
Based on proven strategies through its Cobram, Shepparton and Echuca offices in the Goulburn Valley Employment Service Area (ESA), CVGT has won contracts to replicate its DES operation in seven other ESAs in country Victoria and Melbourne.
Chief executive Paul Green said the DES offered open employment opportunities across the workforce for people with disability based on their skills, abilities, aptitude and interests.
CVGT Australia seeks employers to hire DES participants and co-ordinates for them a range of employment incentives and government-funded workplace modifications along with ongoing support.
For participants, CVGT offers a variety of training and mentoring solutions to ensure they are job ready.
‘‘Our aim is to deliver fulfilling, sustainable work for our participants and give employers a new staff member who is ready to work,’’ Mr Green said.
‘‘We pride ourselves on the mentoring and support we deliver for both people seeking a job and employers.
‘‘Participants get the benefits of working and being part of a team while at work.
‘‘Employers enjoy financial, social and productivity benefits from employing a keen, capable new staff member from our DES caseload.’’
CVGT will continue its DES services in Cobram, Shepparton and Echuca and will offer a new outreach service to Numurkah, Kyabram and Yarrawonga.
CVGT Australia is a not-for-profit unlisted public company that provides a full and high quality range of employment and apprenticeship services to employers and job seekers in regional Victoria, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
