Fatal in Cobram East
UPDATE: A woman has died in a crash in Cobram East this morning.
UPDATE, 12.13pm: Police have confirmed a 20-year-old woman died in the single-vehicle crash on the corner of the Murray-Valley Hwy and Cemetery Rd, not a male as first reported. The woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
10.09am: Police have confirmed a man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Cobram East this morning.
The crash occurred on the corner of the Murray Valley Hwy and Cemetery Rd when a Nissan Dualis crashed into a tree.
The sole occupant of the car died at the scene.
Motorists stopped to help until paramedics arrived and the Yarrawonga-bound lane of the highway was closed to traffic.
Emergency services from Cobram and Yarrawonga attended the scene.
