Cobram cat killing burglar

BREAKING - Cobram burglar allegedly killed family's cat during ransacking of a Punt Rd home.

Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Cobram yesterday, which claimed the life of a cat. 
Police believe the burglar entered the Punt Road house through a rear door between 8.15am and 9am. 
No-one was home at the time of the burglary and the house was ransacked. 
The offender drowned the family’s cat, Puss Puss and her body was located by the distressed victim upon her return home.
Investigators believe a man seen loitering around the area in the days leading to this incident may be able to assist their investigation. 

The man is described as being perceived as Caucasian in appearance, fair complexion, blonde scruffy long hair, with a beard, moustache, thin build, 165-170cm tall and in his 20’s. 

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
