The 27th annual Barooga Community Night Football Series will conclude with grand finals in both divisions on Friday night.
In division two, starting at 6.30
On its way to the grand final Waaia has had two impressive victories over Strathmerton by 14 points and over Deni Rovers by 27 points.
Berrigan has also won both its preliminary games, defeating Katandra by a massive 94 points and Katamatite by three points.
Both of these teams have recruited well over summer and will no doubt be well positioned in the day competition.
These sides seem very evenly matched and close contest is assured, with maybe just a kick in it at the end.
In division one, starting at 8.30
As well as being last year’s premiers, Leeton-Whitton won the night series in 1998 and Finley was the night series inaugural winner way back in 1988.
On its way to the grand final Finley has defeated Leeton-Whitton by 33 points and Barooga by a massive 154 points.
Leeton-Whitton has lost to Finley and had a convincing win against Nathalia on Friday night.
Again this looks to be a close contest and will depend on which club is able to have its travelling players available.
Finley will start favourite and will be looking to use this game as a stepping stone to a productive season in the Murray League.
Winning sides will receive a trophy and shield as well as prize money.
The best-on-ground medals in both divisions, the Norm Watt medal, will be awarded after each final.
Full catering is available. No package alcohol is to be brought into the ground.
