Two fires at Benalla property

Emergency services were called to a grassfire which spread to a nearby hay shed at Benalla this afternoon.

A fire which ignited in a patch of grass at a Benalla farming property this afternoon, has spread to a nearby hay shed.

Country Fire Authority personnel are on scene at Steel Rd, near Old Cemetery Rd, and say both fires are under control.

It is believed that a spark from a welder caused the fires.
