Thieves strike Benalla Bowls Club

Thousands of dollars were stolen from Benalla Bowls Club overnight.

Benalla police are searching for two balaclava-clad thieves who stole thousands of dollars from Benalla Bowls Club overnight.

Benalla Police Crime Investigation Unit Acting Detective Sergeant Shannon Murphy said two male offenders wearing gloves and balaclavas allegedly forced entry into the facility through the smoker’s door between 3.30am and 4am.

Det Sgt Murphy said several thousand dollars in notes and coins were stolen before the offenders fled in a silver Sedan.
