Karate students put through paces
Benalla Kyokushin students have been working hard to gain their next belts.
A grading was held for 10 Kyokushin karate students in October, run by Australian Coach Sensei Steve Hardy, along with world representative Sensei Monica Hardy.
It was the first grading for nine of the students, who endured two hours of testing to gain their next belt.
Darcy Cooke also took part in the grading to obtain his senior yellow belt to enable him to grade at the senior grading held in Sydney next year, alongside fellow students Nathan Pendergast, Livinya Dean and instructor Sempai Chloe Woolcock.
On Sunday, December 8, Harry Bosch, James Eaton, Rory Power, Ella Ogden, Chalie Dewinne, Lachlan Bosch, Andrew Schladestch and Darcy Cooke all received their new belt ranks which were presented by Sempai Will Phillips and Sempai Wendy Walsh from Melbourne.
